San Francisco Skyline - Twilight

From Photo Sanity

October 2008

I had the privilege of being on Alcatraz Island after most tourists have gone home. The photo group got to shoot the sunset from the roof and then get into parts of the prison that is not normally open to the general public. It was an interesting photographic opportunity; however, I wasn’t sure that prison bars and peeling paint were going to make interesting photos. They did! Still though, my personal favorites of the trip were of the San Francisco Skyline as twilight started to fall. This is one example.

  1. Spectacular composition. Your timing is perfect here. The details seen in the twilight is just incredible and this is beautifully composed as well.
